The First 48 Hours With Your Frenchie Puppy
Bringing home a Frenchie puppy should feel calm and clear, not chaotic. The goal for the first two days is a predictable rhythm: a quiet setup, small meals on schedule, short potty trips to the same spot, and lots of sleep. Place the crate or pen in a cool corner away from constant foot traffic and bright windows, add soft bedding, and keep introductions short and sweet. Your French Bulldog puppy is leaving littermates and learning your routine; the less noise you add, the faster they relax.
Feeding is simple when you stick to the plan we send home. Use the same food and mealtimes for a few days before changing anything, and offer water at regular intervals—after play, after a potty break, and before a nap. Most first-week issues come from too many changes at once. For potty training, carry your puppy to the same outdoor area every time, a minute after waking and ten to fifteen minutes after eating or playing. Praise calmly when they finish, then go right back inside to avoid overstimulation.
Mini list to have ready: crate or pen, bedding, water and food bowls, starter food, cleaner, a couple soft training treats, a small towel.
